Student Ministry
Welcome to CCOC Students!
Our student ministry exists to help middle and high school students know Jesus, grow in their faith, and build meaningful relationships with one another and the church. Through Bible study, fellowship, serving opportunities, and special events, we want to equip students to live out their faith and discover their place in God's Kingdom.
We believe students are an important part of the church today, and our desire is to help them develop a lifelong love for Jesus and His Church.
Programming for 6th through 12th Grade
Sunday Mornings
9:00
During the 9:00 AM service, middle and high school students gather in the upstairs café for a class designed to help them grow in their faith. Together, they read God’s Word, ask questions, and discuss how they can apply it to their everyday lives in a casual and welcoming environment.
Between services, all students in 6th–12th grade are invited to gather in the downstairs office area for light refreshments and a time of fellowship with one another.
10:30
During our 10:30 service, students are encouraged to either worship alongside their families or serve in an area of children’s ministry. We believe students are not just the future of the church—they are an important part of the Body of Christ right now.
By giving students opportunities to serve, we want to help them discover the joy of using their gifts to serve others and become active participants in the life of the church. We also want students to become comfortable worshiping alongside the broader church family and serving in meaningful ways.
As students grow into adulthood, our hope is that these experiences help build a lasting connection to the local church and a lifelong pattern of worship, community, and service.
Sunday Nights
High school students are invited to join us on Sunday evenings from 6:30–8:00 PM at the Brewsters’ home for Bible study, discussion, snacks, and time to hang out together. For the address or to be added to the email list for updates and schedule changes, contact Spencer at spencer@centerburgcoc.com
Tuesday Nights
On Tuesdays from 6:30–8:00 PM, students are invited to gather at the church for a time of growth, fellowship, and fun. Each week includes games, snacks, and time together studying God’s Word.
This gathering has a middle school focus, but all students are welcome!
FCA
On Thursdays during lunchtime at Centerburg Middle and High School, students are invited to gather for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)—a time to connect with other students, encourage one another, and grow in their faith.
Events
Throughout the year, we offer special events and activities for students. Most events are communicated through the church’s weekly In the Know email and our monthly Student Newsletter.
CIY- Christ In Youth
CIY (Christ In Youth) is a summer youth conference held on college campuses throughout the country. In 2027, our middle school ministry will be heading to Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH, while our high school ministry will be heading to Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
These are powerful weeks designed to call students to Christ and encourage them to live out their faith through a life of Kingdom work in His Church.
For more information about each CIY week and to register, see the details to the right.
